The setting sun slowly dived into the horizon, leaving behind the sky burning bright in the colours of a flame. Slowly the light around walked away making way for the darkness to slither in.
Cold waves of water lapped against my feet as I stood arms crossed, eyes closed, facing the might of the sea breeze. I looked down to look at my feet covered in sand, my toe poked out trying to get away from the suffocating sand.
The vast expanse of the sea that sat before me looked ready to listen to my story. The loud beats of my heart cried out in fear. I touched my chest to feel the beats, the sense of life, a feeling of alive hit me hard.
Softly I asked my heart, why do you weep in fear, but the silence that engulfed us spoke louder than my beating heart.
